My father was a machinst

The Fresno County Democratic Central Committee has not endorsed any candidate in this race.

It’s International Workers Day, and I want to take this moment to introduce you to my parents. My father was a union machinist. My mother was a dress clerk. Together, they were able to buy a house in the Bay Area and send their daughter to UC Davis. We lived the California Dream.

I just read that a family making $100,000 a year in some parts of the Bay Area is now considered low income. With the high costs of housing and rent, people are forced to commute hours every day, making it next to impossible for regular, hard working people to live and prosper in our great state.

We can do better. We must do better.

As governor, I will support a living wage for all Californians, and the state will work with cities and counties to build housing that ALL workers can afford.

Thank you,

Delaine   Delaine Eastin for Governor 2018
