The Fresno County Democratic Central Committee has not endorsed any candidate in this race.

On March 23, Delaine Eastin took the stage with Antonio Villaraigosa and John Chiang, for the first gubernatorial forum of the campaign. If only we had a dollar for every time the other candidates replied, “What Delaine said,” we’d be wrapping up the end of our first fundraising quarter in style.

The L.A. Times said that, “Eastin…was clearly in her element, winning applause when she criticized state leaders for allowing California’s per pupil funding to slip to the bottom of the national average and for spending more on building prisons than on building colleges over the last 50 years.”

The Sacramento Bee quoted Eastin, “I’m going to fight for school, from preschool to graduate school,” she said. “All of our 58 counties are near the bottom in this country in per-pupil spending. That is wrong … and by God when I’m governor that’s going to be number one on the plate of every single person making policy in California. The children come first.”

Listen to the entire debate on Capital Public Radio and please help us spread the word. We know that when the people hear Eastin speak about the issues, they jump up in support.

We don’t need the most money, but if everyone committed to $1 a day, or every other day – we will win and children will have an uncompromising voice in Sacramento.
