Detroit was great to us. CNN and The Washington Post declared our campaign a winner.
But it wasn’t just my performance that won, it was my ideas. Before I even took the stage on Wednesday night, my immigration policy, calls for impeachment and support for police reform and reparations shaped the conversation in Tuesday’s debate.
It echoes something I said on stage—When you elect me president, it’s because you want me to lead, not follow.
I didn’t get into this race to play it safe. I got in it because Americans deserve a bold vision for our country, rooted in solid policy. They have to believe that we can be better than we’ve ever been. It’s the only way we will get people to show up and vote Donald Trump out of this White House.
Thank you for your continued support,
