Solidarity is brewing in the San Joaquin Valley!
Starbucks workers at over 240 stores nationwide have filed for a union election, and 19 of these stores are in California with that number steadily growing. The store at Herndon and Marks Avenues recently became the first to file for a union election in the city of Fresno and the Valley.
This Thursday at 11 a.m., we need your presence for a press conference and rally outside of the Starbucks at Herndon & Marks, to show solidarity with the baristas and to call on Starbucks to stop retaliating against union leaders.
Order a drink under the name “Union Strong” to support unionizing baristas as they push for fair wages and a better work place.
We hope to see you Thursday morning.
In Solidarity,
Dillon Savory,
Executive Director
Fresno-Madera-Tulare-Kings Counties Central Labor Council, AFL-CIO
