Something is missing here at HQ 👀

The Fresno County Democratic Central Committee has not endorsed any candidate in this race.

We want to put the names of our grassroots donors on the walls here at HQ, because you inspire this team to keep fighting every day.

Warren for President

Here at HQ, we’ve decorated the walls with (almost) all the things that inspire this team.

We printed out and hung every plan Elizabeth has for big, structural change. We have posters that say “Dream Big, Fight Hard” and “Persist.” And who could forget photos of our favorite consumer watchdog, Bailey?

But we kept one wall blank to add some extra inspiration. And it has your name on it — if you want it to be there!

Chip in any amount today to help fuel this movement, and we’ll add your name to our Grassroots Donor Wall here at HQ.

If you’ve saved payment info with ActBlue Express, your donation will process automatically:

We’ve all had a heavy heart after the news of the tragic mass shootings in Gilroy, El Paso, and Dayton.

I was inspired to see Fresno band together against gun violence, honoring the victims and demanding action to prevent further killings:

Remembering those who passed from Gilroy, El Paso and Ohio

I am continuously moved by our community’s response to events like this. Both compassion for the victims and defiance in the face of inaction by our leaders.

That’s why I hope you’ll sign my petition calling on Congress to take immediate action to combat the gun violence epidemic in our country →

It is clear now that the El Paso shooting was motivated by hatred and racism.

We cannot stand complacently by and accept this as the new normal. It is not normal — and it is not something we will tolerate.

The inaction of Republicans leaders is inexcusable. No amount of money from the gun lobby, no amount of political pressure is an excuse to sit idly by while people are being murdered.

Our nation has a gun violence problem and a white supremacy problem. Please join me in demanding that our leaders take decisive and quick action before more lives are lost →

If we raise our voices loud enough, we can’t be ignored.

I thought this was a good time to check in and give you a chance to share your thoughts on our recent survey.

It’ll only take a minute, and the responses help form our strategy, build our plans to create real change, and help me make decisions on next steps for our campaign.

Can you do me a favor and add your thoughts to our survey? It’ll only take a few minutes:

We’re building up our people-powered campaign every single day, your voice is critical and we need to know what’s on your mind as a member of this team.

Thanks for taking the time to give your feedback.

For The People,

El Paso

El Paso

I am so proud of my hometown of El Paso. Always have been.

I tell our story wherever I go. This place of immigrants, of people from all over the planet, who came here to do better for themselves and to do better for this country. I tell people about how we are one of the safest cities in the United States. Nearly 700,000 people and we’ve averaged only 18 murders a year.

And I make sure that people know that those two things are connected. It is the very presence of immigrants and asylum seekers and refugees that has made us so safe. We don’t just tolerate our differences, we embrace them. We treat each other with the dignity and respect we are owed as human beings. It is the foundation of our success and our safety.

I’ve always thought the example set by El Paso could offer a path forward for a country that is so consumed by our differences and our divisions.

Si queremos asegurar nuestro país, I often say, necesitamos seguir el ejemplo de El Paso.

But on Saturday, we realized that we can take no comfort in our safety, in our ability to see the best in each other by seeing ourselves in one another. That, as Martin Luther King Jr. said, “we are caught in an inescapable network of mutuality, tied in a single garment of destiny.”

A gunman opened fire on my community this weekend.

I realized that my family’s lives could be put in danger while we go back-to-school shopping.

I’m heartbroken that this weekend — in El Paso, and in Dayton, and in Chicago — this was the reality for so many families.

And I’m heartbroken that, in too many communities, this is the reality every day.

But I’m also pissed off.
