Help me across the finish line?

*** No candidate for Attorney General has been endorsed by the CDP ***

The polls open at 7am PT tomorrow, meaning my primary is less than 24 hours away!

Can you give $5 today to help me across the finish line?

Together, we’ve built this campaign on some fundamental principles: that Californians value fairness and opportunity; that we believe families in the 21st Century should have access to affordable health care, clean air and water, safe schools and workplaces — and that we shouldn’t turn our back on the people who make California the 5th largest economy in the world.

Just today VICE News said that our work plays an important role “in the anti-Trump ‘Resistance.'” That’s because it is primarily about protecting you and all hardworking families.

And we aren’t just fighting, we are winning!

Thanks to our court fights:

Dreamers can renew their DACA status. Transgender Americans continue to serve in our military, the Affordable Care Act’s in tact, our air is breathable and our water drinkable. Although we still have a ways to go, these are major wins, given the threats from Washington, DC.

Some other efforts I’m particularly proud of:

We’ve taken thousands of illegal firearms off of our California streets. We’ve stopped Big Oil and Big Banks from cheating consumers. We’ve prosecuted sex-trafficking rings and taken down dangerous gangs.

I hope that I’ve earned your support.

Can you chip in $5 to help my campaign reach every Californian possible before the polls close?

Thank you for standing with me.

Xavier

This is our last chance

*** No candidate for Governor has been endorsed by the CDP ***

When we started this campaign, I knew that California deserved a better choice in this election, and the last few months have shown exactly why that’s true. Gavin Newsom is gaming the system to prop up Donald Trump’s preferred candidate. And Antonio Villaraigosa is being bankrolled by billionaires who have thrown in over $20 million to push him along.

We’ve come so far in the last year — building a campaign based on values, ideas, and integrity, and mobilizing Californians who might’ve otherwise remained on the sidelines. From day one, I had faith that people like you would stand with me.

Tomorrow, Californians will cast their votes, but our work isn’t over. Volunteers and organizers are working across the state to Get Out the Vote right now, and they need our support.

Will you stand with me and this grassroots army once again by chipping in a last-minute donation to help us Get Out the Vote?

We can continue this journey beyond tomorrow, but it’s going to take everything we have, and it’s going to take the support of people like you.

This is our last chance to surge forward before the polls close tomorrow. Will you chip in to make it count?

Thanks for standing with me in this fight,

John

*** Tony Thurmond has been endorsed for State Superintendent of Public Instruction by the CDP ***

Dear Friend,

All of our hard work will shape the outcome of tomorrow’s California Primary Election. With less than 36 hours until polls close, I need your help for one final push.

Will you make it known who you are supporting for Superintendent of Public Instruction by changing your Facebook profile picture to our campaign logo today?

Click here to get the Facebook version of our campaign logo.

Your support has made possible so many major accomplishments for our campaign. We created three campaign commercials which are airing on TVs across California. We won the Democratic Party endorsement with more than 89% of the vote. And your financial contributions have allowed me to travel the state to meet with students, parents, and educators to talk about the changes we need in our public schools.

I need your help today to raise the last $35,000 in our primary election campaign budget. Will you make a contribution to help us finish strong?

We have come so far, and I’m confident that tomorrow, your commitment to this campaign will show in the voting results. Thank you for your support, and thank you for voting. If you have yet to vote, you can find your polling place by clicking here.

Thank you!

Tony

Quick question

Do you have a plan to vote yet? These awesome SEIU Local 99 volunteers sure do, and this weekend they made sure folks in their neighborhood had a plan to vote, too.

KDL with SEIU volunteers

Whether you’re voting by mail or in-person on Election Day (this Tuesday!), it’s important to make a plan to vote for Kevin de León for U.S. Senate!

Once you’ve made your plan, text or email 5 friends to make sure they have a plan for voting too.

If you need to lookup your polling place, you can find it right here:

TJ Cox for Congress

In spite of all the unproductive noise coming out of Washington these days, I continue to believe that when we come together as a community, we can accomplish so much for Central Valley families and make sure that Congress meets our needs here at home.

Polls open in the California primary election in just 48 hours. I’d like your input on what’s motivating you to vote on Tuesday. Can you take a moment to answer a few questions about what’s on your mind heading into Election Day?

I meet with working families across the Central Valley every day and it’s clear that this community is concerned about the direction our country is headed — on health care access, protecting Medicare and Social Security, and making sure that our local economy isn’t hurt by Trump’s looming trade war.

Since I can’t meet with everyone at once, I’m hoping to get some of your input through this survey. Please, take a quick minute and share your thoughts >>

Thanks,

TJ

A letter to friends and family

*** No candidate for Attorney General has been endorsed by the CDP ***

I was really touched this morning by an email written by one of my supporters to his friends and family. Spreading the word about my campaign makes all the difference.

We are just two days away from Election Day. Your help is critical for us to make it across the finish line. So, I humbly ask you to email to your friends and family and let them know some of the reasons why you are voting for me on Tuesday, June 5th.

I’d like to share my supporter’s email as a token of appreciation. And I hope to do the same with yours. Will you write an email of support to your contacts?

“Friends and Family-

I will keep this short.

On Thursday, May 17th the New York Times published a Nicholas Kristof opinion piece detailing the gruesome murder of four San Bernardino people, including a woman and two children, and the ensuing framing of a black male named Kevin Cooper, who now awaits his fate on death row.

Kevin Cooper is not an angel, but he’s not a murderer either–and there is evidence to prove it. But neither Gov. Jerry Brown or appointed Attorney General Xavier Bacerra will pursue new DNA testing of the evidence that was illegally tainted and planted to frame Cooper.

I never send these emails and rarely ask friends and family to support specific candidates, even the candidates for whom I work. But today I’m emailing asking that you cast your vote for Dave Jones for Attorney General.

Dave Jones has demanded that Gov. Brown use new DNA technology to test the evidence. Jones has said the “criminal justice is a human system and humans make mistakes. … I think it’s quite possible that someone could be put to death by the state who was wrongly convicted. We’ve had a number of exonerations on Death Row.”

I’d go a step further by saying the criminal justice system is a flawed and biased system that disproportionately imprisons and takes the lives of people of color.

Single-issue voters frustrate me to no end, but in this race I am one. Please vote for Dave Jones to save an innocent life.

Thanks for your time.”

Please let us know if you will also be sending an email to your friends and family to show your support. And don’t forget to share your email with us so we can keep the momentum going.

Thank you for getting out the vote!

Sincerely,

Dave Jones
