Your polling place may have changed!

As a cost-saving measure, Fresno County recently reduced the number of polling places across the county. Bottom line: For the Nov. 2 election, your polling place may have changed.

So, before voting this Nov. 2, please check your sample ballot for your new polling place, or look up where you should vote on our Polling Place Lookup page, which gets its information straight from the office of the Fresno County Clerk.

Fresno State Democrats to host Esswein-Halderman debate Thursday

The Fresno State Democrats invite you to attend a debate between Republican Linda Halderman and Democrat Michael Esswein, the FCDCC-endorsed candidate for California Assembly District 29. The debate is scheduled 11 a.m.-12 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 21, in room 309 of the University Student Union at Fresno State University.

Watch party for third Brown-Whitman Debate happening tonight

Fellow Democrats: Come one, come all!

With the third Brown-Whitman Debate happening tonight, Oct. 12, all are invited to join other Democrats and Brown supporters at a Debate Watch gathering, scheduled at 6 p.m. today, Oct. 12, at the home of Judy Luna, 5301 N. Ricewood Ave. in Fresno (see map). Please feel free to bring refreshments.

The debate is to be moderated by retired NBC anchor Tom Brokaw, and will be televised 6:30-7:30 p.m. Check local listings for more information.

Stonewall Democrats to meet Oct. 13

The Fresno Stonewall Democrats will meet 6-9 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 13, at Carrow’s Restaurant, 4280 N. Blackstone in Fresno. The meeting will begin with a dinner and social hour at 6 p.m., followed by the group’s business meeting at 7 p.m. Topics on the agenda include ongoing fundraising, membership activities, and the upcoming November general election.
