Join the call this Thursday

The Fresno County Democratic Central Committee has not endorsed any candidate in this race.

Delaine Eastin for Governor 2018

It’s me again, reminding you of our weekly volunteer conference call scheduled for 7 p.m. this Thursday, August 24. To dial in, you must first register by clicking the link HERE.  Forward this email and invite a friend to join! You will be able to dial in to the call starting at 7 pm PDT, and the call will officially start at 7:10 pm PDT.

Our last call went great; volunteers shared their experiences and we worked on some new outreach techniques. These calls continue to inspire me, and the work you all do on behalf of Delaine is invaluable.

So far, our volunteers have been tabling, phone banking, organizing and staffing events, and generating content on social media. Many of you have yet to take action. To better understand your availability and skills, I have created a short volunteer survey. Click here to take the survey. It only takes 3 minutes, and would be a tremendous help to me and the campaign.

Delaine is counting on our best efforts as 2018 draws near. Get involved today! I hope to hear you all on the call this Thursday.

Backing of Influential Former Speaker Reflects Sen. Lara’s Increasing Momentum

LONG BEACH, CA — Illustrating his widespread support as he seeks the office of California Insurance Commissioner, today State Senator Ricardo Lara secured a high-powered endorsement from California Speaker Emeritus, John A. Pérez.

Former Speaker Pérez, who also serves as a University of California (UC) Regent, announced his endorsement of Senator Lara’s statewide bid by releasing the following statement:

“With a fear-mongering, xenophobic and divisive person like Donald Trump in the White House, it’s absolutely vital that the people of California have proven leaders we can count on to stand up for our values and our way of life in statewide office. I’ve just described Senator Ricardo Lara. He’s a passionate progressive who has long fought for an inclusive and fair society. It’s why I know he’ll be a vigorous defender and protector of our state’s consumers, patients, and working families as our next Insurance Commissioner. I’m please to support his campaign.”
