UPDATED: Fresno County BOE candidate to speak at West Fresno Dem Club’s meeting June 26

José Dominguez, candidate for Fresno County Board of Education from District 1, will be the guest speaker at the next meeting of the West Fresno Democratic Club, scheduled 3:30 p.m. Saturday, June 26, at Salaam’s Restaurant, 841 F Street in Fresno. (The meeting was originally scheduled June 19.)

With more than 15 years service as a member of the school board, José is running to help the Fresno County Board of Education meet the following goals:

  • Closing the achievement gap and promoting better literacy;
  • Addressing the rates for dropouts, push-outs and teen pregnancies;
  • Ensuring fiscal accountability and leadership;
  • Promoting vocational education and ROP programs.
