Diverse coalition supports Blong Xiong for Supervisor

From the Blong Xiong for Supervisor campaign:

Diverse Coalition Endorses Blong Xiong for Supervisor

20140410-blong-groupFirefighters, education leaders, the Fresno Central Labor Council, the Fresno Democratic Party, and small business owners have united behind Blong Xiong for Supervisor because of his long record of supporting working families, delivering safer neighborhoods, and working to bring people together to get things done.

Fresno is at a crossroads. While the economy is starting to turn around, many homeowners are underwater, businesses are closed, and job creation is sluggish. Blong is the kind of leader the county needs to turn talk into action and problems into solutions.

Renteria Campaign needs your voice in support of the Paycheck Fairness Act

From the Amanda Renteria for Congress campaign:

renterialogo-250As a candidate running to bring a fresh voice to Washington, people often ask what issues I care about most.

Well, equal pay for equal work is one issue that really sticks out to me — and one that I’ll fight for if I’m elected to Congress.

It’s so simple: men and women who do the same jobs and have the same qualifications should be compensated equally. But for some reason, Congress continues to allow employers to discriminate against women in the workforce.

That’s why I’m standing up to say enough is enough. Will you join me in calling on Congress to pass the Paycheck Fairness Act immediately?

It’s been over 50 years since President Kennedy signed the Equal Pay Act. I can’t believe we’re still fighting this battle.

So here’s the bottom line: American women deserve their long overdue raise. Join me in making sure that happens.

Thanks for taking action,
